Re-Vamped National Food Security Mission Operational Guidelines, 2018 (India)

The Operational Guidelines were issued pursuant to the continuation of the Food Security Mission beyond the period of the 12th Five-Year Plan, for the periods from 2017-2018 to 2019-2020, due to the success of the programme. Based on feedback from the states, changes were made to modify, include or clarify some of the guidelines, conscious of the greater interest of the farmers and demand from the states. Nutri-cereals, oilseed crops and the Seed Village Programme were also brought under the coverage of the mission. The mission focuses on providing funds to beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer by the states. Project management team are further provided to ensure a result-oriented implementation.
