The Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) (Nepal)

The Act enumerates and defines the right of persons to privacy including the right to privacy over their physical and mental condition, right to family privacy, the right not to be searched, the right of women to privacy relating to reproductive health and pregnancy, the right to privacy in their residence, the right to privacy over their property and details relating to such property, and right to privacy over personal documents related to him or her. 

The Act also states that every person has the right to keep the personal data or details related to him or her confidential, as well as any correspondence transmitted by them electronically or through other similar means. The Act also specifies how personal information shall be collected, protected and used.
