Posting of Generation Charges Breakdown by Distribution Utilities, Energy Regulatory Commission Resolution No. 05, Series of 2007 (Philippines)
Distribution Utilities (DUs) are obligated to supply electricity in the least cost manner. Their rates for the supply of electricity to the captive market is subject to regulation by the Energy Regulatory Commission. All DUs are required to segregate the components of the retail rate in its bills to end-users. The Resolution provided a prescribed format for the DUs to follow in posting the itemized breakdown of their generation charges in their respective websites.
