Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion Act, Republic Act No. 10817

The Act established the Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion Program, a comprehensive set of targets, objectives and strategies for the growth of Halal industries aimed at increasing export of Halal products. The Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion Board was also established as the policy-making body of the Act. 

The relevant government authorities shall enhance the growth of Halal industries through infrastructure support, grant of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to attract investments related to Halal products, and the establishment of an institutional and human resource development program. These programs include capacity building and skill training for Halal industry workers, producers and manufacturers, among others.
