Philippine Environment Code, Presidential Decree No. 1152
The Philippine Environment Code (PEC) prescribed the standards for air quality, national emission and noise. The National Pollution Control Commission shall be responsible for the enforcement of the standards set under the PEC. It further prescribed management guidelines for the protection and improvement of the quality of Philippine water resources, as well as for other natural resources management and conservation, including wildlife.
The PEC generally provided the policies for flood and natural calamities, energy development, conservation and utilization of surface and ground waters, mineral resources, and proper waste management.
