Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, Republic Act No. 10121

The Act provided for the duties, responsibilities, powers and functions of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, Office of the Civil Defense, Regional, Provincial, City, Municipal and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils. It provides the remedial measures to be undertaken upon the declaration of a state of calamity, including the imposition of price ceiling on basic necessities and prime commodities, and control of overpricing/profiteering and hoarding of prime commodities, among others.
