Philippine Credit Card Industry Regulation Law, Republic Act No. 10870 (Philippines)

The Act lays down the rules and regulations on the endorsement of credit card debt collection to a collection agency, communication in connection with debt collection, payment due dates, determination of credit card limit and charges, and the imposition of finance charges due to non-payment of a debtor, among others. It also enumerates the information to be disclosed by a credit card issuer to all existing and potential credit cardholders which includes the finance charges, percentage of interest, as well as delinquency-related charges, among others.
