Oil Plan 2015-2036 (Thailand)
The Thailand Oil Plan 2015-2016 fosters fossil fuel management through a long-term roadmap consistent with the goals of the Energy Efficiency Plan (EEP) and the Alternative Energy Development Plan (AEDP). The roadmap also considers possible risks to energy security and environmental issues, as well as covers natural gas management. The Plan sets five fuel management principles, and sets out the reasons, proposed measures, and the stakeholders for each.
The avowed principles are:
- Support measures to save fuel in the transportation sector according to the EEP 2015
- Manage type of fuel properly
- Restructuring prices of fuel
- Enhance ethanol and biodiesel consumption in accordance with AEDP
- Encourage investment in the fuel infrastructure
