National Women Commission Act, 2074 (2017) (Nepal)
The National Women Commission is vested with powers, functions, and duties including the review, monitoring, evaluation, conduct of study and research, formulation of policies and programs, relating to women and women empowerment, and prevention of violence and discrimination against women.
The Act allows the filing of a complaint before the Commission if there has been an offense relating to deprivation of women's rights. The Commission shall have the authority to investigate and recommend the filing of a legal case on the basis of such investigation.
