National Commission on the Status of Women Act, 1992 (Pakistan)

The National Commission on the Status of Women (Commission) is mandated to examine and review the policies, programs and measures taken by the federal government and all federal laws, rules and regulations which affect the status and rights of women, suggest any repeal thereto, as well as facilitate and monitor the implementation of international instruments and obligations affecting women and girls to which Pakistan is a signatory, among others. 

The Act enumerated the powers, functions, composition, rules for the conduct of meetings and appointment of committees of the Commission. It also established the National Commission on the Status of Women Fund which shall be used by the Commission to meet charges in connection with its functions under the Act.
