National and Local Health and Nutrition Programs through a Strengthened Integrated Stategy for Maternal, Neonatal, Child Health and Nutrition in the first 1000 days of life, Republic Act No. 11148 (Philippines)

The program is composed of health and nutrition services and interventions which are provided at different life stages: 

• From pre-natal period to women about to give birth and immediate postpartum period
• Postpartum and lactating women
• Actual birth and newborn period
• The first six months of infancy
• Infants of six months up to two (2) years of age

The Act imposes upon the Department of Health, in coordination with the National Nutrition Council, the Department of Agriculture, the local government units and other national government agencies the responsibility to implement the provisions of the Act.
