National Adaptation Programme of Action, 2005 (Bangladesh)

The National Adaptation Programme of Action contextualizes the adaptation program in the physical, social and economic circumstances of Bangladesh, including the key climate change-related development concerns and the adverse effects of climate change. It notes that Bangladesh is already vulnerable to many gradual climate change phenomena, and appears to be one of the most climate vulnerable countries in the world. It also discusses the potential future vulnerabilities of Bangladesh and the adaptation measures that need to be taken, as well as the relationship of these measures with the development goals. Finally, it examines the identification of key adaptation needs and the criteria for selecting priority activities.
