National Action Plan on Green Growth in Viet Nam 2014–2020, PM Decision No. 403/QD-TTg, 2014 (Viet Nam)
The National Action Plan on Green Growth in Viet Nam (GGAP) is composed of four main themes, 12 groups of activities and 66 specific activities. The four main themes are:
- Setting up institutions and formulating green growth action plans at the local level
- Reducing the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions and promoting the use of clean and renewable sources of energy
- Greening production
- Greening lifestyle and promoting sustainable consumption
It provides that the activities under GGAP should be implemented in synergy with improving awareness and institutions; and restructuring sectoral, local and entrepreneur economies as well as technology innovations. The GGAP also contains a portion on the mechanism of implementation, enumerating the ministries and agencies tasked with the implementation of the plan and their particular roles. The GGAP also sets out the contents of activities under GGAP in the period of 2014-2020, including the name or theme, prioritization, content, leading agency/collaborating agencies and financial resources.
