Microfinance NGOs Act, Republic Act No. 10693 (Philippines)
A Microfinance Non-governmental Organization (NGO) provides the following to the poor:
- Direct access to affordable credit and related programs and services
- Human development services to help them achieve sustainability and empowerment
- Business development opportunities
A Microfinance NGO shall provide the following minimum core programs and services: microcredit and financial literacy and microcredit and compensating balance or micro-savings.
