Mechanism Supporting the Development of Wind Power Projects, PM Decision No. 37/2011/QD-TTg, 2011 (Viet Nam)

The Circular provides for the mechanism supporting the development of wind power projects in Viet Nam. According to the Circular, the planning of wind power development includes planning of wind power development at the national and provincial levels. It includes wind potential, the listing of wind power projects and connection of wind power projects into the national power system. At the provincial level, details on the area and boundary of the project and capacity scale of each project should also be included. The Circular also provides for the mechanism supporting development of wind power projects including tax incentives, land use incentives, and stipulated prices for grid-connected and off-grid projects. The Circular also outlines the responsibilities of concerned ministries and people's committees in the implementation of wind power projects.
