Maritime Zones Act 2018 (Cook Islands)
The Act defined the maritime zones of the Cook Islands composed of the baseline territorial sea, internal waters, territorial sea, contiguous zones, exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf. It declares that the sovereignty of the Cook Islands extends to its internal waters, territorial sea, the airspace over them, the seabed and subsoil under them, and all other resources contained in them. It further provided for the rights of Cook Islands and other States with respect to the maritime zone of the Cook Islands.
