Complainants filed an administrative case against Judge Jorge Lorredo for bias and partiality due to the latter's badgering remarks and questions on complainants' sexual orientation. During the hearing, Judge Loretto uttered homophobic slurs and repeatedly warned that complainants' alleged sexual orientation is an affront against the Bible and religion. The Supreme Court ruled that the New Code of Judicial Conduct on Equality mandates equal treatment of the LGBTQIA+ community and held Judge Lorredo administratively liable.
