Law No. 25/2021 of 2 December, Judicial Organization Law (Timor-Leste)
The Judicial Organization Law enunciates the functions and mandates of judicial courts and judges, public prosecutors, lawyers, public defenders, and other judicial officers. It enumerates the division, jurisdiction, composition and organization of the judicial courts in Timor-Leste composed of the Supreme Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal and the courts of first instance. It further recognized the establishment of the administrative, fiscal and audit courts which shall be responsible for judging disputes arising from these specialized issues.
