Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, No. 33/2013/QH13, 2013 (Viet Nam)

The Law provides the following:

• Natural disaster prevention and control activities
• Rights and obligations of agencies, organizations, households and individuals engaged in such activities
• The state management and assurance of resources for natural disaster prevention and control

It enunciates the basic principles of natural disaster prevention and control, as well the state policies therefor. It also provides for sourcing of manpower for natural disaster prevention and control. The Law identifies natural disaster prevention and control activities, the appropriate response to natural disasters, as well as remediation of natural disaster consequences. It also defines the rights and obligations of agencies, organizations, households and individuals in natural disaster prevention and control, and international cooperation in natural disaster prevention and control.
