Interruptible Load Program, Energy Regulatory Commission Resolution No. 08, Series of 2010 (Philippines)
The Interruptible Load Program is implemented through the execution of an agreement between the distribution utility (DU) and the participating customer where the latter shall be requested by the DU to de-load either by disconnecting the customer's delivery point which receives electricity from the DU or reducing its load from the DU. The request for de-loading shall be prompted if there is notice from the System Operator of the Grid that there will be an expected power shortage.
