The Intellectual Property (IP) Code is the regulatory framework for the protection of exclusive rights to copyrights, patents, trademarks and trade secrets as intellectual property. It lays down the laws and rights pertaining to, as well as the procedures for patents, trademarks, service marks, trade names and copyright. The Intellectual Property Office was established to implement and administer the provisions of the IP Code.
