Harassment Act 2017 (Cook Islands)

The Act defines harassment as an act done by a person to another if he or she engages in a pattern of behavior that is directed against the other person, being a pattern of behavior that includes doing any specified act, which is defined as stalking under the Family Protection and Support Act 2017, to the other person on at least two (2) separate occasions within a period of 12 months. 

The Act provides remedies to victims of harassment including the process of application for restraining orders in behalf of the victims and minors, as well as the contents and conditions of restraining orders, among others. It also provides for the procedure with respect to proceedings related to harassment.
