Foreign Investment Act 2018 (Kiribati)
The Act enumerated the business or economic activities which are:
- Reserved for citizens of Kiribati exclusively or the reserved list.
- Permitted for foreign investment provided that the same satisfies the conditions prescribed or the restricted list.
- Strictly prohibited against foreign investment or the prohibited list.
The Act requires that a foreign investor may only invest provided that a valid certificate has been issued. It also lays down the rights and obligations of foreign investors.
