Establishing an Institutional Mechanism for the Implementation of Programs and Services for Persons with Disabilities, Republic Act No. 10070 (Philippines)
The amendment changed references to the term "disabled persons" on the title and other sections of the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons to be read as "Persons with Disabilities" (PWDs). The amendment also provided that local government units shall establish a Persons with Disability Affairs Office, which shall be responsible for the the formulation and implementation of policies, plans and programs for the promotion of the welfare of PWDs, in coordination with concerned national and local government agencies, among others.
