Enhancing Biodiversity Conservation and Protection in Mining Operations, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Administrative Order No. 2022-04 (Philippines)
The following general guiding principles shall be promoted in the enhancement of biodiversity conservation in mining operations:
- Connectivity
- Precautionary principle
- Sustainable use of natural resources
- Participatory governance/participation of stakeholders
The Order specified the biodiversity measures which shall be undertaken to ensure the integration of biodiversity in all stages of mining operations from exploration, development and utilization, and closure, decommissioning and rehabilitation.
