Enforcement of Women's Property Rights Act, 2020 (Pakistan)

Women who are deprived of ownership or possession of her property, by any means, is permitted to file a complaint to the Ombudsman if no proceedings in a court of law are pending regarding that property. The Act also allows the Ombudsman to initiate the filing of the foregoing complaint. If it is found that there has been an illegal deprivation of a woman's ownership or possession of her property, the Ombudsman shall direct the relevant government instrumentality or private person to restore or confer possession or title of the property to the complainant, including steps to perfect the complainant's title to the property.
