Energy Policy Framework, 2009 (Nauru)

The Nauru Energy Policy Framework (NEPF) embodies a roadmap for the development of the energy sector in Nauru for the immediate future, medium and long term. The NEPF is anchored on the vision statement: "reliable, affordable and sustainable energy, enabling the socio-economic development of Nauru." 

The NEPF identifies several strategic policy areas which are critical in achieving its vision statement, including:

  • Power
  • Petroleum
  • Renewable energy
  • Consumers
  • Finance
  • Institutional capacity
  • Energy conservation and efficiency

For each policy area, the NEPF presents a policy statement and corresponding strategies.
