Disaster Risk Management Act 2007 (Cook Islands)

The Emergency Management Cook Islands was established as the implementing body of the provisions of the Act, including functions to coordinate the maintenance and facilitate implementation of the Disaster Risk Management Plan, among others. It also established an inter-agency National Disaster Risk Management Council, which is responsible for the formulation of policy for Disaster Risk Management, among others. It provides the rules and defines when a declaration of a State of Disaster and State of Emergency is proper.
