Digital Registers Act 2011 (Cook Islands)

The Act authorizes digital registers and provides the general requirements applicable for digital registers. A registrar may refuse to register a document if they receive a document in a format that does not enable it to be registered on a digital register. It provides the measures to be observed to ensure the security of digital registers. 

The Act also provides the rules of registration of documents on digital register, as well as rules on the protection and rectification of digital registers, among others. It also lays down the specific requirements for offshore registers.
