Creating an Arbitration Machinery for the Philippine Construction Industry, Executive Order No. 1008 (Philippines)
The Executive Order established the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission which shall have original and exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or connected with contracts entered into by parties involved in construction in the Philippines, whether the disputes arise before or after the completion of the contract, or after the abandonment or breach thereof. It also provides for the qualification of arbitrators and the appointment of services of technical or legal experts in the settlement of a dispute.
