Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters
The Convention provides that a judgment rendered by a court of a Contracting State shall be recognized and enforced by another Contracting State. It provides for the bases for recognition and enforcement of a foreign judgment, matters which shall be beyond the scope of the Convention, and grounds for refusal to recognize and enforce a foreign judgment, among others.
