Consumer Protection (Trade Descriptions and Safety Requirements) Act 1975 (Singapore)

The Act prohibits the application of false trade descriptions to any goods, and the supply of any goods on which a false trade description has been applied. 

The Act empowers the Minister to impose requirements such as the inclusion of certain information on goods or other safety requirements relating to the composition, contents, design, construction, finish or packaging of goods, for the protection and safety of consumers. The Minister may further prohibit the supply of goods where the prescribed requirements have not been complied with.
