Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 (Singapore)

The Act generally defines unfair practice and enumerates a non-exhaustive list under the Second Schedule of what constitutes as unfair practice, including false or misleading representation with respect to the standard and quality of goods, and taking advantage of the customer by the inclusion of unconscionable terms or conditions in the agreement, among others.

The Act provides the consumer the right to sue a supplier for unfair practice, the right to the repair or replacement of the goods and reduction in the amount to be paid for the goods or for the rescission of the contract, among others.
