The Constitution of Tuvalu

The fundamental law of Tuvalu recognizes the right of every person in Tuvalu which shall include the right not to be deprived of life and personal liberty security for his person, and the protection of the law, freedom of belief, freedom of expression, freedom of assembly and association, protection for the privacy of his home and other property, and protection from unjust deprivation of property. It provides that the sovereign and Head of State of Tuvalu is Queen Elizabeth and subsequently her successors, who is represented by the Governor General. It also provides for citizenship in Tuvalu, and its area.
