Conservation and Environmental Protection Authority Act 2014 (Papua New Guinea)

The Conservation and Environment and Protection Authority of Papua New Guinea provides for the conservation and protection of the environment in accordance with the fourth national goal and directive principle under the Constitution. It further establishes the Conservation and Environmental Protection Authority which is mainly empowered to do all things necessary for the conservation and protection of the environment in accordance with the environmental conservation laws and any policy directions of the Minister and the National Executive Council. The Act also contains provisions on the administrative organization of the Authority, as well as its finances. The Act repeals the National Parks Act but provides that subordinate enactments under the repealed law continue in force as if made under this Act.
