Compulsory Education Act 2000 (Singapore)
A child who is born after 1 January 1996, a citizen of Singapore, and is a resident of Singapore is required to regularly attend as a pupil of a national primary school. The Act established the Compulsory Education Board which is responsible for the implementation of the Act.
