Competition Act 2004 (Singapore)

The Act established the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore and defines its duties, powers and functions. The three general prohibitions of the Act are: 

  1. Anti-competitive agreements which prevent, restrict, or distort competition
  2. Abuse of dominant position
  3. Mergers that result, or are expected to result in, substantial lessening of competition within any market of Singapore for goods and services
