Code on Sanitation of the Philippines, Presidential Decree No. 856, Series of 1975

The Code prescribes the standards and procedures for ensuring sanitation applicable to drinking water, food establishments, food servicing operations, as well as the construction for markets and abattoirs. The Code also established the sanitation requirements and guidelines for public laundries, school sanitation and health services, industrial establishments, public swimming or bathing places, rest areas, bus terminals, bus stops and service stations, dancing schools, dance halls, night clubs, beauty establishments, hotels, motels, lodging houses and condominiums, port, airport, vessel, and aircraft. The Code also enumerated the nuisances, offensive trades and occupations which are prohibited.
