The report examines present and future causes of climate displacement in Bangladesh. It also examines Government and civil society policies and programmes intended to provide solutions to climate displacement and relief to climate-displaced persons. It emphasizes that rights-based solutions, in particular, housing, land and property rights solutions, must be utilized in solving this crisis. The report underscores that climate displacement is an urgent crisis unfolding in Bangladesh today, not a phenomenon to be addressed in the future. The report proposes a number of concrete recommendations for providing potential solutions to climate displacement.
