Building and Construction Authority Act 1999 (Singapore)

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) is vested with the authority to regulate the construction industry, as well as prescribe standards, training requirements, raise standards and promote efficient use of energy, among others. 

The Act defines the membership, terms of office and conduct of meetings of the BCA. The Act indicates the requirements for the application of a license and for a storage permit, as well as the import permit for essential construction materials.
