The Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, Republic Act No. 9208 (Philippines)

The Anti-Trafficking of Persons Act of 2003 enumerates the punishable acts of trafficking of persons, including acts that promote trafficking of persons and qualified crimes in the trafficking of persons. Trafficking of persons can be committed through various means for the purpose of prostitution, pornography, sexual exploitation, forced labor, slavery, involuntary servitude or debt bondage. In addition to the penalties to be imposed upon the offender, the court shall have the authority to order the forfeiture of all proceeds or properties derived from the commission of the crime.
