The Anti-Corruption Act of Bhutan 2006

The Act established the Anti-Corruption Commission which is mandated to undertake actions to prevent and combat corruption, investigate attempts or conspiracy to commit corruption, revoke any contract arrangement, examine systems of public entities to revise procedure and practice which can potentially breed corruption, and request from the Court an order or judgment to cancel or revoke a right or document of title which was approved or granted permission by a public servant in contravention of law or regulation or against the interest of the government, among others.

The Act lays down the procedure and requirements for filing a complaint with the Commission against a public servant, public entity or any person who has committed or attempting to commit corruption. It prescribes the rules with respect to the investigation, arrest, search and seizure for offenses relating to corruption.
