Amendment to the Biofuels Act, 2015 (Philippines)
The amendment to the Biofuels Act qualifies the requirement for mandatory use of biofuels by providing that natural gas power generating plants may use neat diesel (pure, unblended diesel) as their alternative fuel during shortages of natural gas supplies, rather than the mandated biodiesel blend, on the condition that the Department of Energy shall ensure that the authority granted shall only be availed of, directly or indirectly, by natural gas power plants.
