Act on the Settlement of Environmental Pollution Disputes, Act No. 108 of 1970 (Japan)
The Act established the jurisdiction, composition and powers of the Prefectural Pollution Review Board and Federal Pollution Review Board which shall have authority to conduct mediation, conciliation and arbitration on environmental pollution disputes. It further provided for the procedural rules applicable to the settlement of environmental pollution disputes through mediation, conciliation, arbitration and adjudication.
