The 105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave Law, Republic Act No. 11210 (Philippines)

The 105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave Act recognizes the State's policy to protect and promote the welfare of working women by providing them with an enabling environment which takes into account their maternal functions. It provided for the mechanism to expand the maternity leave of women workers. The Act grants all covered female workers in the government and private sector, including those in the informal economy, regardless of civil status or the legitimacy of her child, 105 days maternity leave with full pay and an option to extend for an additional 30 days without pay. If the female worker also qualifies as a solo parent, she shall also be granted an additional 15 days maternity leave with full pay.
