Michel Prieur Professor Emeritus of Environmental Law. Doctor of Law from the University of Paris-Panthéon, graduate of the Institut d’études politiques de Paris, agrégé of public law and political science, graduate of the Institut des hautes études internationales. Professor of law in Strasbourg where he created the French Society for Environmental Law, the Environmental Law Review and a research center in environmental law. Honorary dean of the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences of Limoges and founder of the CRIDEAU, an interdisciplinary research center in environmental law, planning and urbanism. President of the International Centre for Comparative Environmental Law (www.cidce.org), an international NGO accredited to the United Nations and to the International Organization of the Francophonie.
