Kazuhisa KOAKUTSU is the Director of the Paris Agreement Article 6 Implementation Partnership Center. He has been engaging in the research activity on international climate policy related to market mechanisms such as the clean development mechanism (CDM), emission trading scheme (ETS) and Joint Crediting Mechanism. He has been implementing the capacity building activities in Asia on CDM and new market mechanisms for the last 10 years. He is the author of several text books and research reports on the CDM and new market mechanisms, and has specialized on the international rules and methodologies on the CDM. Currently, he is involved in the capacity building of MRV (monitoring, reporting, and verification) for the new market mechanism and attending the international negotiations under the UNFCCC.
