Emily Mulina-Pomoh is the Mitigation Officer with the Climate Change and Development Authority (CCDA) in Papua New Guinea and the only female among the four staff members in the Mitigation Branch. She plays a critical role in shaping PNG’s climate change efforts, with a focus on the development and implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency laws, policies,regulations, projects and programmes. Her groundbreaking contributions include the successful formulation of PNG's Climate Change (Management) (Carbon Markets) Regulation, a milestone in the nation’s climate policy landscape. Dedicated to driving transformative change, Mrs. Mulina-Pomoh is actively involved in integrating climate strategies into sectoral initiatives and leading efforts to develop PNG’s framework for Article 6 implementation under the Paris Agreement, cementing her position as a trailblazer in climate mitigation
