Akshaya Desai

Akshaya Desai has a Master's Degree in Human Rights Law with 6 years of legal and academic experience. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Law with Amity University, Mumbai since September 2016.
Akshaya previously worked as a Legal Consultant and Lawyer with Majlis Legal Centre (NGO), an organization working for women’s rights through litigation and policy intervention. She also delivered lectures at Maharashtra Judicial Academy on Gender Sensitization while implementing legislation. Her research and publications include papers on the topics of Environmental Law, Constitution, Human Rights. She has also written chapters in books such as Sustainable Development and Environment Governances.
