ADB Hosts Colloquium for Judges on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards 

ADB hosts three-day Colloquium for Judges on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards in Uzbekistan under ADB’s Law and Policy Reform (LPR) Technical Assistance Program “Strengthening Judicial Capacity Towards Sustainable Economic Development in Asia and the Pacific”. The event is one outcome of a fruitful and long-term partnership between LPR and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.  

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, Justice Shukhrat Polvonov, Justice Anselmo Reyes, International Judge at the Singapore International Commercial Court, and judges across 14 regions in Uzbekistan attended the event to discuss Best International Practice on Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.

Justice Shukhrat Polvonov thanked ADB for organizing the Colloquium and stressed the importance of a continuing collaboration with ADB to strengthen judicial capacity in priority spheres. He also expressed gratitude for past ADB knowledge events.
